This policy explains which cookies courses.zirconconsultants.org (the "Platform") uses and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

How We Use Cookies

The Platform uses cookies that are strictly necessary to make an account-based learning platform work: staying signed in, remembering items in your cart, keeping the site secure, and serving pages efficiently. We do not currently run analytics, advertising, or social media tracking cookies on the Platform.

The Cookies We Use

Account and security

• wordpress_logged_in_*, kept until you log out: keeps you signed in to your account as you move between pages.
• wordpress_sec_*, kept until you log out: used on secure (HTTPS) pages to authenticate your session.
• wordpress_test_cookie, session only: checks whether your browser accepts cookies.

Google sign-in

• NSL-*, short-lived: set only when you click "Continue with Google," to securely complete the sign-in handshake with Google. It is cleared once sign-in finishes.

Shop and cart

• woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart, session only: remember what, if anything, is in your cart as you browse.
• wp_woocommerce_session_*, kept for 2 days: identifies your shopping session so your cart is not lost between page loads.

Performance

• _lscache_vary, session only: set by our caching system (LiteSpeed Cache) so that logged-in learners and course purchasers are served the correct, personalized version of a page instead of a cached generic one.

None of these cookies are used for advertising, and none are shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your Consent and the Law

Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, Cap. 411C, and the EU General Data Protection Regulation where it applies, cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you have asked for, such as staying logged in or keeping your cart, do not require separate consent. If we introduce non-essential cookies in future, such as analytics, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy to describe them.

How to Control and Delete Cookies

Every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies, usually from its settings or preferences menu. These guides cover the most common browsers:

• Cookie settings in Chrome

For mobile browsers, check the settings section of the browser app or your handset manual. Blocking the account and cart cookies listed above will prevent you from staying signed in or using the shop, since the Platform depends on them to function.
